Issue Position

Obamacare continues to hurt Central Florida families and businesses, through canceled insurance policies and increased costs of healthcare. I have spoken with families who have lost healthcare coverage, and business owners who feel deterred from future hiring. This reduces the jobs in our community and further strains our families. I believe we can and must do better. Americans deserve true health care reform -- reform that actually addresses the problems that lead to high costs and inaccessibility to quality care. We need policy that spurs competition, reforms malpractice suits, expands access to coverage and safeguards individuals with pre-existing conditions. We must work to achieve true reform that doesn't infringe on anyone's liberty. I will fight to limit the federal government's intrusion on individual healthcare decisions and return the business of healthcare to the private sector.
