Issue Position

As someone who served and sacrificed for this great country, I think that the budget deal that was recently passed is a grave disservice to our veterans and service members alike. As your Representative I will fight to make sure that a promise made is a promise kept and I will strive to ensure that the government honorably serves those who serve and have served. The VA Hospital at Lake Nona has experienced setback after setback, delaying vital care for the men and women who have valiantly served our country. I will work to address the road blocks and bottlenecks in the disability claims process. We must fight to protect the mandate and budget of the VA so that it can continue to answer the call of President Abraham Lincoln: "to care for him who shall have the borne the battle and for his widow, and his orphan."
