Issue Position

I strongly support the fundamental, constitutional right of a woman to make her own decisions regarding her reproductive health. Instead of restricting access to women's health, I support efforts to improve the quality of women's health care which will ultimately reduce the need for abortion. For example, I support the Affordable Care Act which provides women in Connecticut with affordable access to contraception, and funding for Title X family planning centers which offer comprehensive women's health care to low-income women and men across the country. I will stand up to any and all efforts in the Congress to restrict this fundamental right.
