Senator Murkowski believes improving infrastructure in Alaska is a top priority. America's 49th state is still young and doesn't have many simple things the rest of the country has had for a century. She believes that improving on this situation through construction projects is a win-win, providing jobs, economic development, and efficient transportation of goods and people. Robust, long-term investments in Alaska's transportation infrastructure will allow access and mobility to Alaskans in urban and rural areas and will provide them opportunities for growth. The 112th Congress yielded bipartisan legislation that will improve Alaska's infrastructure. Senator Murkowski spoke of Alaska's connectivity and infrastructure needs for the future on the Senate floor.
