Government Spending

Government should fund the fundamentals, with legislators being wise stewards of your hard-earned tax dollars. We hear about reckless spending coming out of Washington every day; it's encouraging to see spending on the state level that is balanced, just like how Hoosier families and businesses operate. However, a budget surplus can quickly become a deficit if poor decisions are made by the legislature. Senate District 15 needs a Senator willing to fight for a balanced budget and prudent spending decisions. While on the Fort Wayne City Council, my desire to rid government of wasteful speaking led me to either propose or sponsor $12 million in cuts.
