Voting Rights
I support the right of every citizen to vote, free of undue burden or harassment. Illinois must consistently work toward leading the nation in voter turnout without fraud. I will oppose legislation that requires all voters to show photo identification or other, similar measures that impose unnecessary barriers to voting. I support expanding further the concept of grace period registration and voting to allow people to register to vote or update the address of their registration on election day as is allowed in Minnesota, Wisconsin and several other states.
