I fully support Representative Naomi Jakobsson's proposal for a constitutional amendment for a progressive income tax referred to as the Fair Tax Amendment. Like Jakobsson, I would have voted against the way the legislature has abused its obligation to fully fund the state pension systems as a way to generate revenue for completely extraneous purposes. I will continue to explore other sources of revenue to help pay the State's bills.
