Issue Position

I know the woes of the current system of public education all too well--I was educated in it. I support greater school choice and believe that the State Board of Education should have the authority to appoint the Commissioner of Education and textbook review committees. The future prosperity of our state depends on properly educating our children. I support student centered funding so that money goes to those who need it--teachers and students in the classrooms.
