Issue Position

GROWING THE ECONOMY
Uncertainty created by constantly changing government mandates hinders our state's economic growth. I will work to decrease taxation, litigation, and regulation so that businesses can start hiring again. I believe that in order to maintain a strong business environment, we must protect businesses from frivolous lawsuits and return to a predictable regulatory climate. If we keep government as far out of the private sector as possible, then we will have more freedom, more jobs, more start-ups and small businesses, more revenue through economic growth, and more prosperity for the people of Texas. I am also for decreasing and reforming the margins tax which penalizes so many businesses.
