Cassidy Backs Right To Carry

Congressman Bill Cassidy M.D. (R-LA) announced his support for H.R. 2959, the National Right to Carry Reciprocity Act. The bill would allow gun owners with concealed-carry permits to travel through any state in the union, regardless whether they're in a state that issues such permits. Dr. Cassidy released the following statement:
"Our Founders wrote the Second Amendment as protection for all gun owners in America. Lawful gun owners should enjoy the benefits of the amendment regardless of their location. This bill embraces that principle and ensures gun owners will not be harassed or discriminated against for exercising their rights."
