Congressman John Fleming, M.D., released the following statement after voting today for the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) for FY 2014:
"This NDAA keeps faith with our men and women in uniform, providing them with the support and resources they need to protect our country. It includes a modest pay raise and provisions to protect TRICARE benefits. It also contains some additional religious liberty protections for our Armed Forces that are similar to those in my amendment to HR 1960. This NDAA also makes a significant down payment on the development of the Air Force's Long Rang Strike Bomber, a platform that will eventually replace the aging B-52s that are integral to Barksdale Air Force Base and its global strike mission."
