As Your Representative, Joe Got Real Results For El Paso:

Under Moody, the State balanced its budget without forcing school districts to fire teachers, increase class sizes or close campuses.

With Joe fighting for El Paso, the medical school received $17 million for new clinical faculty and plans were made to make UTEP a major research institution.

Joe secured funding to start the process of building a true Visitors Center at Franklin Mountains State Park. However, the project was delayed after he left.

Joe authored and passed HB 2086, heralded as "sweeping anti-gang legislation" by Lieutenant Governor David Dewhurst, which will diminish the impact of drug-cartel and transnational gang activity.

Moody helped pass a law that guarantees free college tuition to soldiersand their children posted at Ft. Bliss and all other Texas military bases.

Joe supported expanding job training programs and coordinating them with economic development efforts.

Moody helped start the process for creating a Veterans Court in El Paso County.

Joe authored HB 1008, which created a 100% property tax exemption for Disabled Veterans.

Moody expanded crime victims' rights and secured more funding for Domestic Violence shelters.
