Education -- Preparing the Next Generation for Jobs
A recent study showed three out for four job openings this year require at least some college education, but the Valley has the highest gap in the nation of potential workers not having the educational requirements they need to compete
for today's jobs. As State Representative, I'll fight to:
Support proven dropout recovery programs to give kids a second chance at a high school diploma.
Enforce class size limits in the early grades to give teachers the chance to provide more individual attention.
Restore cuts to college financial aid.
Support community colleges that play a critical role in job training.
