Rokita Surveys Storm Damage - Update

Today Rep. Todd Rokita joined Governor Mike Pence, Senator Joe Donnelly and other state and local elected officials, as well as emergency management officials in touring areas of Boone, Cass, Howard and Tippecanoe impacted by Sunday's storms.

"The toll of the damage from yesterday's storms is just starting to become clear. As bad as the losses are in property and possessions for families and businesses, the good news is that no lives were lost. I stand ready to assist local authorities in getting federal disaster relief to those who need it should it be necessary," Rokita said. "Maybe the most encouraging thing I saw today was Hoosiers helping Hoosiers. No one was waiting around for help. People were just pitching in to help family, friends, neighbors and complete strangers in need."

Rokita and his staff remain in continual contact with emergency management personnel from every county in the Fourth District to stay updated on local conditions.
