I would like to take this opportunity to thank all the men and women who have so honorably served this nation. Words cannot express how proud I feel to live in a country where so many brave service members sacrifice their time, energy, skills and lives for our freedom.
As your representative in Washington, I am committed to ensuring that our country's veterans and their families have access to and support from the Veteran's Administration and the communities they live in, for the benefits and medical support they deserve.
In these tight fiscal times, there are many questions about the federal budget and how recent legislation will impact the VA and our veterans. Please be assured that providing veterans with the resources needed to live independent and productive lives is a priority of mine.
I have an interest in helping those who have so graciously served me and am committed to finding relief for those who have relieved our citizens of sacrificing as they and their family did for us. The state of mental health care and accessibility is a top need for those coming home from a war that should have been finished years ago.
I intend on fighting for the health and wellbeing of the men and women that have served our country, and look forward to seeing their level of care rise in the upcoming years.
