Cassidy Backs Continuing Resolution Delaying Obamacare

Statement

Date: Sept. 29, 2013
Location: Washington, DC

Today, Congressman Bill Cassidy, M.D. (R-LA) voted for the Continuing Resolution proposed in the House of Representatives. This resolution will delay Obamacare by one year and also repeal the Medical Device Tax and fund salaries for our troops. Dr. Cassidy released the following statement:

"After over a dozen broken deadlines, thousands of lost jobs and premium increases across the nation, its clear Obamacare isn't working. The right decision is to delay Obamacare and replace it with something better. Consequently, the President and Senate Democrats now have a choice. They can delay Obamacare and then negotiate with the House, which is what Americans and Louisianans want, or they can go on obstructing. We stand ready to work together to improve healthcare for all Americans."
