Hudson Statement on the 50th Anniversary of the March on Washington

Statement

U.S. Representative Richard Hudson (NC-08) released the following statement on the fiftieth anniversary of the March on Washington:

"Today we celebrate the anniversary of the March on Washington, an inspiring and defining moment in our nation's history. Fifty years ago, the Reverend Doctor Martin Luther King, Jr. and countless Americans marched to our nation's capital with hopes of creating a more free and better America. Their dream helped bring forth opportunity and equality for all. We are greatly indebted to the legacy of Dr. King for his courage and vision to foster change and honor these sacrifices as we reaffirm our commitment to continuing the fight for a brighter future for all."
