Issue Position

Junk lawsuits cost Texans jobs and damage our economic growth. Texas needs a civil justice system that discourages frivolous and meritless lawsuits while at the same time allows plaintiffs to be fairly compensated and defendants to get a fair day in court. I will fight to protect and strengthen the historic civil justice reforms that have been enacted by our conservative majorities in the Texas Legislature and signed into law by Governors Bush and Perry. These reforms have made Texas a beacon state and they must be preserved to create even more jobs for Texas.
