As a school board member I have seen the best and the worst in education. No Child Left Behind has been made the bad guy in education and that is only part of the story. NCLB has brought an accountability to our education system that simply did not exist before. It is a flawed system for sure but we should not throw out the baby with the bath water. NCLB has helped us to identify our weaknesses in education and now we need to take a long hard look at how we strengthen those areas.
