I am endorsed by the NC Right to Life Committee and believe that human life is precious and should be protected. I oppose taxpayer-funded abortion and will defend the right to life for unborn children and the elderly. As a member of the Senate freshman class, I was privileged to be a primary sponsor of the Unborn Victims of Violence Act and the Woman's Right to Know Act, and to present and defend these bills to my colleagues on the Senate floor. As a result, North Carolina moved up to 25th in Americans United for Life's pro-life rankings. I am thankful to have been a part of this historic year in the General Assembly, and intend to do everything I can to continue moving the culture of North Carolina from a culture of abortion to a culture of life.
