Issue Position

Wisconsin has one of the best education systems in the country, thanks to our great teachers. However, we must continue to look for ways to improve and reform education to meet the needs of our workforce. I believe there's not one answer to solve all our educational problems nor is there one type of school that fits every child's needs. I support the expansion of charter schools to allow the best schools to replicate themselves and serve more children. I welcome merit pay so the best teachers can be rewarded for their excellent work in the classroom. I will help expand school choice to allow parents to decide the best educational choice for their child.
