* In the 2nd District, we have the opportunity to build on the successes of our many hospitals, on the many bioscience companies in the region, and on KU Med's newly won National Cancer Institute designation. Although KU Med is not in the 2nd District, this new designation will help strengthen the bioscience industry and bring more healthcare jobs to the region.
