Issue Position

As a social worker at The Source working with employees and businesses to retain jobs, I see firsthand the struggles that workers and our small businesses face every day. We are living in difficult economic times, and I know that state government must spend our hard-earned tax dollars wisely. The tax increases of a year ago that are creating so many difficulties for families and senior citizens have not created the jobs supporters said they would. I will work with small businesses and fight for policies that will help them grow and create jobs. Our small businesses are important to our local economies and deserve as much consideration as we give to large corporations. I will also fight make Michigan a leader in new technologies that will help create the jobs of the future that our children will study and train for.
