Issue Position

I support having legislative redistricting done by an independent commission instead of the legislature to take politics out of the process. Many other states have already done this successfully. I also support each legislative district being split up into two single member house districts as opposed to the current at-large system. This will enable house members to maintain better contact with their constituents due to having a small area and it will also reduce voter confusion about voting for two candidates in statehouse races.
