Our government must live within its means. We need to reduce spending and cut back during lean times like this. Our businesses do it, our families do it, why can't our government?

A slash and burn approach to reducing spending isn't practical. We need to have a thoughtful approach and honest debate about what our state must fund, and what it would want to fund. It will take innovative thinking, but we all know that great challenges provide great opportunities.
