Today U.S. Senator John Cornyn (R-TX), a member of the Finance Committee, made the following statement after today's markup on the extension of temporary tax legislation:

"Businesses are looking to Washington for certainty in our tax code. If we want to create jobs in this country and promote economic growth we should work on fundamental tax reform, not kick the can down the road."
