Representative Kavanagh co-sponsored and helped write SB1070, Arizona's tough anti-illegal immigration law. Kavanagh also wrote the law requiring that all levels of government check for proof of legal presence before issuing anyone a license of any type. He is a strong opponent of illegal immigration and a defender of Arizona's policies in the local and national media.
