Our Founding Fathers made sure that the 2nd Amendment right to bear Arms was included as a fundamental liberty in the Bill of Rights. I agree with their many reasons for doing so. You cannot justify restricting or eliminating Constitutional protections in the name of safety or fear, nor is it right to place bureaucratic regulations on all people because of the irresponsible behavior of a few. Nothing can take the place of individual responsibility. Certainly not the government. The right of the people to keep and bear Arms shall not be infringed. Period.
