Issue Position

Ken currently serves as President of his local school district board. This gives him a unique understanding of the problems facing our rural schools. And he believes strongly in the mission of providing the highest quality education for our children. Unfortunately, state government has taken too much control over how this system is funded and what's being taught in the classroom. The solution is more local control. As our State Representative, Ken will vote to return the decision making power to local parents, teachers and administrators so that the people making the decisions affecting our children are those closest to them -- not bureaucrats in Austin.
