We must ensure that government is in the hands of the people of Hawaii and not controlled by special interests. In order to achieve this, cleaning up politics in Hawaii is a necessary first step. One of my key goals is to work towards restoring a true democracy at the State Capitol by supporting policies that will reduce conflicts of interest and allow lawmakers to focus on good policy-making. We must take influence of money and personal gain out of the political process.
