Second to creating the environment to grow jobs in Northeast Florida and the rest of the state is ensuring we have a truly excellent education system so Florida can train the workforce we need to be competitive in a changing world economy. That starts with making education a higher priority in the state budget.
Each child learns in a different manner. The best way to allow for the full potential of each and every child is to provide all the best options for parents to support the education of their child. There are a great many different and innovative solutions to improving education, we need access to all of them for the children and parents of Florida.
We need to empower parents to truly impact their children's education and future. We also need to return control to the local level away from the interference of the Federal government and in the hands of those best suited to make decisions about the children in their communities. State and Federal government should be only minimally involved in the education of our children.
