In response to the President's remarks this morning calling on Congress to eliminate tax credits for energy producers, U.S. Sen. Cornyn (R-Texas) released the following statement:
"If President Obama is serious about easing pain at the pump, he should stop pontificating from behind a podium and start acting in Americans' best interest. With the stroke of his pen, he could allow the Keystone XL pipeline to be built, open up access to our domestic resources, and embrace the real all-of-the-above approach that the American people want."
Senator Cornyn serves on the Finance, Judiciary, Armed Services and Budget Committees. He serves as the top Republican on the Judiciary Committee's Immigration, Refugees and Border Security subcommittee. He served previously as Texas Attorney General, Texas Supreme Court Justice, and Bexar County District Judge.
