Issue Position

Congresswoman DeLauro strongly opposes the Supreme Court's recent decision in Citizens United, which conflates corporations and people and thus allows for unlimited corporate spending in our elections. She supports reforms aimed at reducing the power of money and lobbyists in our democracy, including the DISCLOSE Act, which would increase disclosure requirements on campaign contributions, and the Fair Elections Now Act, which would set up a system of public financing for congressional candidates.
