Issue Position

Local artists help create the vibrant culture of the 39th District. Painters, dancers, musicians, and actors enhance the physical space of our neighborhoods and also provide opportunities for youth to get involved in murals, concerts, and performances. Will believes that a local arts scene is essential to community development.

What Will's going to do:

Promote local artists and cultural organizations through regular events, workshops, and showcases

Help develop local performance spaces for residents to organize events and mentor emerging artists

Advocate for after-school programs that provide artistic opportunities for all students
