Congressman Steve Womack released the following statement regarding his vote in favor of extending the pay limitation for members of Congress and federal employees (H.R. 3835):

"Americans continue to struggle in this difficult economy and many remain unemployed. Freezing pay of federal workers--specifically members of Congress--is leading by example and absolutely the right thing to do under these circumstances."
