IS BUSH READING HIS INTELLIGENCE REPORTS?

While a recent U.S. intelligence report outlines a bleak assessment of prospects for Iraq, President Bush continues to ignore the reality on the ground and insists that his strategy is working. Since the war began over 1,000 American soldiers have been killed, almost 7,000 have been wounded and we have spent almost $200 billion. There is significant evidence that the resistance in Iraq is growing, not weakening.

In terms of Bush's overall strategy a top counter-terrorist official at the CIA, who calls himself "Anonymous," stated in his recently published book entitled 'Imperial Hubris: Why the West is Losing' that; "U.S. forces and policies are completing the radicalization of the Islamic world, something Osama bin Laden has been trying to do with substantial but incomplete success since the early 1990s."
