First and foremost, I just want to say thank you.
When I first announced that I would run for governor, I told a reporter that if I had my choice between $1,000 and 1,000 volunteers, I would take the volunteers every time.
We have come a long way, and the finish line is in sight. And while I feel good about tomorrow, I know that we have a lot more to do before the polls close at 7 p.m. Tuesday.
I also know, however, that thanks to supporters and volunteers like you that we will get everything done. We'll knock on every door we can, call every voter we can and ask for every vote we can.
This has been an honor, and we're not done yet. We need to finish strong so that we can claim the Democratic nomination for Governor and set our eyes on November!
So I'm going to ask you to do what you can to help us cross the finish line in first place.
Make phone calls. Send emails. Knock on doors. Volunteer any way you can. If you want to help out, please email my deputy campaign manager, Tyrone Hendrix, at tyrone@johnnydupree.com.
You can also make a last-minute contribution. Your generosity so far has been astounding. If you can give again -- even just $20 -- then we'll be able to reach even more voters tomorrow.
Finally, the most important thing I need you to do is go vote tomorrow. The polls open at 7 a.m. and close at 7 p.m.
Thanks again. Now let's finish strong together!
