Issues: Military Personnel Veterans
Congressman Jared Polis (D-CO) released the following statement in honor of Memorial Day.
"Americans owe a debt of gratitude that can never be repaid to our veterans, current service members, and most of all, to those heroes who made the ultimate sacrifice on behalf of our nation and its ideals. In Congress, we must keep faith with those who have bravely served by ensuring that they receive the benefits and timely medical care that they were promised.
"This Memorial Day, let all Coloradans honor our veterans by thanking them for their service and by making a special effort to welcome home service members returning from Iraq and Afghanistan. They are the guardians of our most basic freedoms and their service will never be forgotten."
