Congressman Morgan Griffith (VA-09) issued the following statement today on the swearing-in of the 112th Congress:
"The people of the 9th District of Virginia have entrusted me with an awesome responsibility, to represent them in Washington. It is an honor and a privilege.
"Southwest Virginians sent a clear message in November. They want Congress to stop its runaway spending and job killing regulations. It's time to create jobs here at home, provide more economic certainty for small businesses and working families, and stop excessive spending. I look forward to working hard for the constituents of the 9th District and doing the people's business here in Washington."
