Our current procedure for appointing judges is antiquated and needs to be changed. The way a judge is appointed should be as honorable as the position itself: modeled on the Federal system where the executive nominates and the legislature confirms. Bill believes that lawyer-legislators should not be allowed to elect the judges they practice before.
