John Stephen, Republican nominee for New Hampshire Governor, offered the following statement in response to the legislature's vote against amending Senate Bill 500.

"It's unfortunate that Governor Lynch and legislative leaders chose to not act on the concerns of the parole board, victims' families, the state's sheriffs and many in law enforcement and fix the flaws in SB 500. This represents a missed opportunity to solve the problems with this new law."
