My opponent and Governor Doyle have long been "yes men" for the powerful special-interests in the education field. It's time we make our children the priority again.
* Reinstate the QEO, which helped keep property taxes under control
* Re-commit to 2/3 state funding for education
* Investigate consolidating and/or breaking-up school districts if it saves money and doesn't adversely impact children's education
* Implement a merit-based, rather than tenure-based, pay scale for teachers
