Issue Position

As the father of two teenage daughters, I was stunned when Governor Lynch signed the repeal of a law requiring that minors needed to notify parents prior to having an abortion. When minors cannot get a tattoo without parental approval, the idea that parents would be excluded from knowing that their child is undergoing a major medical procedure is unacceptable. As Governor, I will work to restore parents' rights by leading efforts to add a parental notification law.
