I believe in equal rights for all, I am against any sort of discrimination and I will always be a proactive advocate for the LGBT community when elected.

This is a personal issue for me because of friends and family who are gay, and I support the legalization of gay marriage. But, the fight for equality doesn't end with gay marriage.

We must be vigilant that the right of same-sex couples to adopt children isn't compromised, work to advance employment protections so that LGBT workers don't have to fear termination because of their sexual orientation and we must strengthen initiatives like the anti-bullying and school safety bill that passed the legislature last session.
