Issue Position

The family is the foundation upon which a strong, healthy, successful society is built. Our country was founded by individuals who sought a government that would invest and strengthen the family unit. Daniel Webster is unwavering in his commitment to work to reform government policies in ways that will strengthen families.

* Daniel Webster fought the legislative status quo and bureaucracy to allow parents the ability to choose what method of education best served their child; earning him the title Florida's Father of Home Education;

* One of the original sponsors of parental consent in 1988, which would require parental consent before a minor can obtain an abortion;

* Added covenant marriage license as a marriage license option in Florida, to strengthen marriages and the family unit; and

* Sponsored legislation that would have required all government agency policies, all agency rules, and all legislation, and to first be examined for its impact on the family.
