Issues: K-12 Education Health and Health Care
In both education and health care, excessive government intervention is the problem--not the solution. Our teachers are hamstrung by red tape. Tax dollars seldom make it to the classrooms. We need innovation, competition and accountability to give our children the top quality education they deserve. And the same principles apply to health care. We need to improve access to health care with a safety net for those truly in need with new incentives for employers to provide coverage. But the Democrat plan for a government take over of health care would be a disaster for America.
