I believe state government needs to control its spending. As a State Representative, I have opposed recent budgets which have dramatically increased the size of the state's budget. Unless we stop state government's reckless spending, future budgets for the State of Iowa could run deficits as high as $1,000,000,000. As Governor, I will restore fiscal responsibility to our state.
