Calls on Burr to Join Effort to Repeal DADT

U.S. Senate candidate Elaine Marshall released the following statement Tuesday based on news that Congress is on the verge of repealing Don't Ask Don't Tell:

"I am pleased to hear that significant progress has been made in the last few days on repealing Don't Ask Don't Tell. This is a seriously misguided policy, and it is high time we honor ALL men and women in this country who are willing to serve."

"I call on Richard Burr, as a member of the Armed Services Committee, to join with fellow Senators and repeal Don't Ask Don't Tell by the end of the year."
