Tony opposes bigotry in all of its forms. Every person should be treated equally under the law, without regard to the person's race, ethnicity, faith, sexual orientation or gender identity. As a senator he has supported legislation, such as House Bill 300 that would extend anti-discrimination provisions of Pennsylvania's Human Relations Act to include sexual orientation and gender identity. He also supports legislation that would amend Pennsylvania's Hate Crimes Law to include criminal conduct motivated by another's sexual orientation and gender identity.
