Issue Position: Property Tax Appraisals

Issue Position

Texas has experienced a dangerous trend. Instead of passing tax increases, some elected officials pass the buck to the Appraisal Districts which are encouraged to increase revenue by raising appraisal values. I do not support raising taxes or property values; I do support property tax reform. I support making the members of the appraisal boards elected by the people rather than appointed by politicians.
